Younes Belamine

01Biography

Born in 1996 into a family deeply rooted in the arts, Younes Belamine developed his practice through study in France, sustained museum visits and encounters with artists. Working primarily in acrylic, he explores geometric abstraction through colour, rhythm and structure, drawing on Islamic visual heritage, architecture and design. Influenced by pioneering Moroccan figures including Chabaâ and Melehi, Belamine reinterprets these references through a distinctly contemporary visual language.

Business studies at emlyon business school, Paris, followed by artistic training in France.

His father, Abdelkrim Belamine, graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts de Tétouan; his grandfather was a master craftsman whose projects included the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca.
